Renae is the owner and Clinical Director of Draper Therapy and Wellness Center. Renae received her Bachelors of Social Work from Boise State University and her Masters of Social Work from The University of North Dakota. Renae specializes in working with teenagers, adults, couples, and families. She has experience in treating a wide range of issues, such as depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, trauma, addiction, mood disorders, and adjustment disorders. Renae has extensive experience in helping people work towards their adoption goals. Her background includes working with families and individuals within the foster care system and domestic and international adoptions. As a result of her time working in Emergency Rooms, Renae also has extensive experience in helping those who struggle with suicidal thoughts or who are in other psychiatric crisis. Renae enjoys helping her clients achieve their goals and values her relationship with her clients. Renae has a warm and genuine nature which helps clients feel at ease. She believes trust and acceptance are essential parts of the therapeutic process and works hard to establish that with her clients. She believes that everyone has their own unique path to healing, and she is skilled at helping them discover that by fostering self-discovery, acceptance, and resilience. She blends a variety of therapeutic approaches including solutions focused therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Renae enjoys spending time with her husband, three daughters, two dogs, and two cats. She enjoys simple self-care practices, such as watching her favorite show, calling a good friend, taking an hour long bath, or listening to podcasts.
