Why or How is Therapy helpful?
Therapy is a research proven treatment modality to help those who are struggling with problems such as depression, anxiety, or trauma. Many people choose to see a therapist to work on ways to increase their satisfaction and happiness in their life by finding better ways to cope, problems solve, or set boundaries. Therapy can help people to identify their strengths and see their problems in a different way. Therapy is also useful in helping people to improve their relationships and learn new ways to communicate. The length of time that each person spends in therapy is unique and individual to them. Some people prefer to only come in for a limited amount of sessions to work through a specific problem, while others incorporate therapy into their regular long term self care practice. Your therapist will work with you to develop a treatment plan and set a therapy schedule that works best for you.
